About Strategist Business Consulting

Joy Gutierrez is a business strategist, entrepreneur, entertainer, and community leader with a proven ability to help organizations navigate change and build sustainable growth. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, a Master of Science in Accountancy, a Master of Business Administration, and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management at Grand Canyon University.

As a co-founding partner of Heritage Audio Visual and of other multiple ventures—including CR Music & Entertainment, Capri Media, CR Records, The Band Crossroads, HAV Investments, and Guitarez Music—she is now the founder of Strategist Business Consulting. Joy (Baca) Gutierrez is her personal venture, where she shares her music as a professional vocalist and blogs about life experiences through her own brand. Joy brings hands-on experience across the hospitality, business, media, and entertainment industries.

Her expertise in strategic planning was tested and strengthened during a pivotal moment in her career, when she faced the unexpected loss of her husband and business partner. During this time, Joy led a full restructuring of business operations—re-evaluating company processes and implementing immediate, short-term, and long-term strategic plans to stabilize and grow the organization. This experience sharpened her ability to lead through uncertainty, make decisive business adjustments, and create resilient strategies under pressure.

Joy is also an active leader and member in the community, contributing to organizations such as Meeting Professionals International, Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce, Visit Albuquerque, Visit Phoenix, Albuquerque Economic Development, the Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce, the Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, the Parent Teacher Fellowship at Hope Christian School, the New Mexico Hispano Entertainers Association, the New Mexico Hispano Music Association, and as a State Commissioner with the New Mexico Music Commission.  She has received recognition in numerous publications, including Albuquerque the Magazine's "Super Women" editorials (2016, 2023, and 2026) and "Experts in Their Field" feature (2026). 

Through Strategist Business Consulting, Joy leverages her real-world experience, academic insight, and resilience to help businesses develop clear, actionable strategies that drive results—no matter the challenge.
